PostHeaderIcon Still No Baby

Well the baby is now 3 days overdue and Kelly is just wanting it to come out now! 😉

There haven’t really been any signs this week that the baby is imminent, there seemed to be more signs the week before.  There have been a few aches and pains but that is about it really.

Hopefully the next post will be to say that the baby has been born! 😉

The baby is now fully engaged according to the mid-wife, so it can be any time now!

Other than that, Kelly’s blood pressure was fine along with everything else, and the baby’s heartbeat was very strong as it has been all though the pregnancy.

So roll on labour…..!  😉

PostHeaderIcon Guess the sex, weight and birth date

Hi all,

Thought it may be a bit of fun (again) for everyone to try and guess whether the baby will be a boy or a girl, how heavy it will be and what the due date will be.  We currently don’t know if it will be a boy or girl, obviously don’t know the weight but the due date is meant to be the 27th April 2011.

To submit your guess, just add a comment to this post!

Have fun!

We went to see the midwife for the baby’s check and all was well.  We had a student midwife who was very nice and took Kelly’s measurements.  We heard the heart beat as well and it seemed a little slower this time, and she said that the baby had ‘engaged’, which was about the same time as Ben.  So all was well! 😉

We saw the midwife at 27 weeks of pregnancy for the usual check up.  She measured the fundal height which was 29cm, so roughly about 2 weeks ahead for my dates, hopefully this doesn’t mean that the baby is going to be huge!  We also listened to the baby’s heart rate which was 146 beats per minute, nice and fast and the midwife then felt for baby’s position which was head down!  Ben was very interested in watching everything that was happening.

I had my bloods taken for the usual checks, and I am now waiting for the results.  I have been told that I could be marginally anaemic and we are waiting to hear if there is anything to worry about.

I managed to get a huge bottle of  Gaviscon on prescription for the awful heartburn that I have been getting so that should save us a few pounds every week.

We will see the midwife again in about 5 weeks time!
