Baby’s Heartbeat

As promised here are the images from the 20 week scan.

Thank you to the people that bought the ‘bump’ any Christmas presents.  The presents were a very pleasant surprise!

On the 7th December we all went to the hospital for the baby’s 20 week scan.  It was very busy in there even though it was very icy outside!

The scan went very well with the midwife saying that the baby was in perfect condition.  In fact, the baby was about 4 days bigger than it should be, so it could be a whopper!

The midwife showed us all the different parts of the baby, apart from the obvious part as we don’t want to know if it is a boy or a girl!  On a side note, Ben still thinks that it is going to be a girl!  The heart was also beating very strongly and it was happily moving about all over the place.

We had some scan pictures as well which will be put on here after Christmas due to the scanner being put away at the moment, so please come back to view them!

Well the baby is now starting to kick and Kelly is feeling it all the time, especially during the evenings just as we go to bed. 😉

Last Saturday, I felt the baby kick for the first time as well. It wasn’t very strong as the pregnancy is still only 19 weeks along, but it was a definite kick.  Mind you, I had to rest my hand on the bump for several minutes until I felt something.  Kelly was saying that it was kicking a lot more than I felt, they were just not strong enough.

Could be another footballer? 😉
