This year was the first KS2 Sports Day for Aaron, so it was proper sport this year!

During the morning session, Aaron did cross country and Football. He did very well in cross country around the school and finished in the top 10, which was excellent for him! 😉 He also did very well in football and seemed to enjoy himself in both of the events.

In the afternoon, he did a round robin of events including the relay, tag relay, standing long jump and a throwing event. He did well at them all as well and put a lot of effort in. The final set of events were the running races so Aaron participated in his class race. He ran as fast as he could and ended up in the top 10 again, so was a great effort as his class has some really good runners!

All in all, Aaron had a great first KS2 Sports Day and did very well!

This year was Aaron’s last KS1 Sports Day, which is only for an afternoon but he takes part in all of the activities. There were 6 events as usual and Aaron tried his hardest in all of them, but his house (Lyhner) ended up last in the final results, which was possibly the first time since Ben and Aaron had started at the school.  This year he only had to do each event once as they had enough people in their team, whereas last year he had to do everything twice due to his team having only 3 people. He was pleased with that as it meant less effort! He did very well in the football dribbling, egg and spoon race and the relay in particular, in what was a lovely but very hot afternoon! Bumblebees also brought the children, inc Coby, over onto the field to watch a couple of events, so Coby was able to see Aaron and us, before they took them back due to the searing heat. He gave us all a hug and was very pleased to see us! 😉 As Aaron’s Sports Day was on a Monday, he had to go to swimming afterwards as well, which wasn’t great as he was too tired out from all the running he had done in the afternoon. Roll on KS2 Sports Day next year!

This year at Sports Day, Aaron’s team only had half of the number of children they were meant to as all 3 girls were off ill. So Aaron and the other boys had to do each activity twice! This didn’t stop them though as they easily won 5 out of the 6 activities! These included a Pirate treasure game, football dribbling, egg and spoon race, hurdles and a couple others. Aaron did very well on each of them and tried his best, although there was a little cheating going on with the egg and spoon race! 😉

They then had the running races and Aaron also had to do this twice as the first race didn’t count as there was a false start and no-one heard the headmaster shout for them to come back, so all the boys continued on to the end only to find they had to go back and run again! Aaron didn’t go top speed on this (he usually doesn’t!) but he gave it a good go and came about half way out of about 20 boys. He was happy with that and was probably tired out anyway from doing the activities earlier twice. He also knew he had to go to swimming after school as well, so he took it a bit more steady. 😉

Anyway, Lynher, his house group, won the KS1 Sports Day again (they usually win each year) so Aaron contributed well to the points the team scored. Well done Aaron! X

This was Aaron’s 1st Sports Day at school and he was put in the same team as Ben so that we could easily follow them around during their events. Aaron did really well and tried very hard at each event, and seemed to enjoy it all! The events that he took part in included small hurdles, egg and spoon race, treasure grabbing, football dribbling and then a running race at the end. Aaron’s team (and Ben’s), Lynher, won the entire event, so they were very happy with this!
