1st Cinema Trip
I completely forgot until today, that back in February, I took Ben and Aaron to the cinema for the first time! Dear me…my memory! haha
Coby was at a party with Mummy so I took the opportunity to take the other two into the Reel cinema in the centre of town to watch the Lego Batman Movie. I hadn’t been in that cinema for nearly 20 years and found it to be very rundown now unfortunately. The material on the seats was all ripped and the paint was coming off the cinema walls but it did bring back good memories from when I was growing up that I wanted to try and share with Ben and Aaron.
Before the film started, they stocked up on sweets and went to the toilet a couple of times. We had already booked the tickets online so we didn’t have to buy them there and they were much cheaper than the Vue Cinema! We then sat down in an ideal place and watched the film, which we all enjoyed.
Of course, Aaron ate all of his sweets too quickly and started to feel sick about half way through the film, and was asking when the film was ending! Tut! I knew Aaron was going to do that! 😉 Anyway, he wasn’t sick (thank goodness) and Ben was fine throughout.
When the film had finished, we met Mummy and Coby at McDonalds for some dinner, so it was a great morning and the boys enjoyed their first visit to the cinema. 😉
Stage 2 Swimming – Completed
Two weeks ago, Aaron completed his Stage 2 swimming and now has a lovely certificate and badge to show for it! The following week, he moved straight up into Stage 3 and when Kelly checked last night (after swimming) he is nearly 50% complete in that level as well! Amazing really as Aaron was really quite struggling and didn’t like it at all, but he has suddenly adapted to swimming really well and is doing brilliant!
Bronze Merit Award
Aaron has now got his 2nd bronze merit award and is now well on his way to getting his silver again. Well done, Aaron. Keep it up!
Parents Evening
After school on the same day as the music festival, Aaron had his parents evening. Miss Bowyer was extremely pleased with him and couldn’t praise him enough. We found out that Aaron has a Maths age of just over 7, which is really great considering he is only just coming up to 6, and that he is doing very well with his reading. She was so pleased that she didn’t really have much to say about him as it was all so good! 😉 Well done, Aaron! X
School Music Festival
Last week, it was the School Music Festival and Aaron was involved with his whole class singing a song. The song was ‘Reach For The Stars’ by S Club 7 due to the children working hard and trying to reach for the stars themselves. Aaron sang a little bit and did some of the actions but he looked tired out and was yawning several times through it! haha He also gradually seemed to move back and back to hide behind the person next to him, as he was a little embarrassed about being up there and singing in front of everyone, albeit with his class.
