Parents Evening
Just before half term, Aaron had his parents evening at School. As he has two teachers (they take in turns during the week), they were both there and said they were very happy with him. They said he was doing very well with his maths and reading, and his spellings have been excellent as well. They also said that he was quiet in class and well behaved, so he obviously leaves his talking and naughtiness for when he gets home! haha. Well done Aaron!
Reading Age
Yesterday, Aaron did a reading test at school and the results said that he has the reading age of a 6 year old, so he is well ahead of what he should be at, which is great! 😉
Reading and Writing
After not even a full term at School, Aaron has now moved on to reading basic CVC books with words such as cat, dog, rat and sat. Â He seems to be enjoying learning to read and gets very excited when he learns a new letter and tells us straight away when he gets home. Hopefully he will carry on with this and get to a really good level by the end of the reception year.
He is also doing really well writing and can easily write his name now. He seems to love practicing his words and, like his reading, he gets excited when he learns how to write a new letter and shows us as soon as he gets home. Long may it continue! Well done Aaron.
