Swimming At School
This term, Aaron has started doing swimming lessons with the school, which is part of the curriculum. The school used to go to Meadowlands in Tavistock, where Aaron goes for lessons anyway, but this year they have changed to go to Mount Kelly (also in Tavistock) who have a top quality swimming pool. He is getting on very well there and you can see his improvements on Saturday’s during his normal lessons, so it is doing him good! He is so close to completing his current stage so hopefully this will make it even sooner!
Carol Service
Last night was Aaron’s first KS2 Carol Service at School. We managed to sit on the 2nd row just in front of him, so could see him throughout! This did make him a little nervous! haha. He sang a little bit and yawned through some songs (as usual!) but he seemed to enjoy it enough. It was hot in there so we could see him getting a bit hot as well, which probably contributed to the yawning. His class sang 1 song on their own and then others with the other classes and audience. It was quite nice and Christmassy!
School Christmas Fayre
Last Friday after School was the annual Christmas Fayre. It was heaving in there but the boys had fun and played a few of the games and won a lot of chocolate and sweets and had some candy floss! The best game they did was the Nerf shooting one, which they were all good at. Coby also made a Christmas Card and Ben went off on his own with a friend with his money to spend. Kelly and I were glad when we left though! 😉
Parents Evening
Just before half term, Aaron had his parents evening at School. As he has two teachers (they take in turns during the week), they were both there and said they were very happy with him. They said he was doing very well with his maths and reading, and his spellings have been excellent as well. They also said that he was quiet in class and well behaved, so he obviously leaves his talking and naughtiness for when he gets home! haha. Well done Aaron!
Sign Language Club
Aaron has joined the sign language club which runs after school on a Monday. Ben has also joined it and so has a few of his friends. He said he enjoyed the first lesson this week so hopefully he will enjoy each week and come back and show us some words in sign language!
